Tech allows customers to combine flights from more than 650 airlines
Polish OTA eSky joins Kiwi.com’s Tequila platform
European and South American OTA eSky has joined Kiwi.com’s Tequila platform for full access to all of the company’s platforms.
The travel technology company has been working with an early adaptor of its new platform, launched last year, to give travel agencies full access to its products and allows them to be repackaged as rebranded products.
The Tequila platform process allows customers to automatically combine flights from more than 650 airlines into one itinerary. Many of them are budget carriers that do not normally collaborate with each other.
eSky will be able to access all routes and deals created by Kiwi.com’s ‘virtual interlining’ and all travel products are being sold under eSky’s branding. This provides the Polish-based OTA with around the clock customer support, access to Kiwi.com’s databases of low-cost carriers and more.
Jakub Bajorski, eSky product implementation director, said: “We are working on scaling the partnership and planning to add Virtual Interlined capabilities as the final stage of the planned rollout and are delighted with the results to date.
“We are seeing several thousand transactions being carried out as part of this full B2B partnership. At eSky, we are still providing the first level of support so that we stay close to our own customers.”
Kiwi.com in turn will see increased booking volumes throughout its channels.
David Petrovic, Kiwi.com head of distribution partnerships, said: “We are delighted that eSky has decided to expand its year-long cooperation with us to become our first major partner using the TEQUILA platform.
“Developed by our engineers, Tequila allows online travel agencies like eSky to leverage Kiwi.com’s technology to sell a broader range of travel offerings and enter into new verticals without the time and expense of having to build their own systems.
“Kiwi.com will arrange revenue-sharing models with such partners as it looks to grow its revenue streams.”
ESky Group’s travel search engine currently allows travellers the booking choice of 950 airlines and 1.3 million hotels and apartments worldwide. The company also provides car rentals and travel insurance for its customers.
