Travel research site and travel community VirtualTourist.com has teamed up with youth operator Contiki Vacations in a blogging initiative for clients.

Contiki travellers who sign up for VirtualTourist and write about their past travel adventures can apply for a Blogger Press Pass.

The pass helps qualified and approved VirtualTourist bloggers gain special access to media-only events and places.

General manager Giampiero Ambrosi said: “For the aspiring travel writer, VirtualTourist is a great place to blog about travel experiences as well as write about vacation tips and reviews all while receiving exposure to a large audience, both domestically and internationally.

“Contiki’s audience of younger, passionate travellers who are known for being active online is a perfect partner for launching this programme.”

Contiki president Greg Fischbein said: “Through Contiki, our travellers return as passionate travel advocates. With the VirtualTourist Blogger Press Pass, they have exclusive access to media events and a dedicated outlet to share their experiences – a fantastic opportunity with value for all.”

Contiki clients have until the end of the year to meet the minimum requirements to apply for the Blogger Press Pass.
