Travelport completes renewed deal with Schipol Travel International

Travelport has has extended its long-standing technology distribution agreement with Schiphol Travel International to include Travelport+ and NDC.

Travelport has has extended its long-standing technology distribution agreement with Schiphol Travel International to include Travelport+ and NDC.

The multi-year renewal sees the corporate agent deploy Travelport+, The GDS’ next-gen platform developed to offer a “simplified, capability-rich, marketplace for travel retailing”.

Daan Lenderink, managing director of Schiphol Travel International, said: “The Travelport+ platform is an important element in the expansion of our travel management business and complements our existing implementation of Travelport’s leading technology.

“Our modernized and strategic agreement with Travelport will facilitate effortless NDC connections to guarantee our customers a five-star travel retail experience with even more choice, greater levels of personalization, and enriched travel content.”

The adoption of Travelport+ will provide Schiphol Travel International with access to a broader supply of travel content and modern retail solutions, including the ability to manage and book aggregated NDC [New Distribution Capability] content.

The travel management company specialises in providing professional services to medium and large multinationals was voted Travel Management Company of the Year by Business Travel and Mobility Club in both 2017 and 2018.
