Dubai Airports launches new smart pickup service
Dubai Airports has launched DXB Greet & Go, a QR code-based pickup service at Dubai International’s Terminal 3, designed to make the arrivals process smoother for visitors.
The service, available exclusively to licensed hotels, limousine providers and tour operators, replaces traditional guest paging with a digital solution that’s designed to streamline the arrival and pickup of passengers in Dubai.
Upon arrival, travellers scan a personalised QR code at a designated kiosk in the arrivals area to receive instant information about their assigned driver and vehicle, including parking details and registration numbers.
Multilingual staff guide guests directly to their transportation, minimising confusion and ensuring a swift, organised handover.
To use the service, participating businesses register their drivers and vehicles on the DXB Greet & Go portal and send personalised QR codes to their guests ahead of arrival. On the ground, guests are verified and smoothly connected with their transportation.
Commenting on the initiative, Essa Al Shamsi, Senior Vice President of Terminal Operations at Dubai Airports, said: “By modernising the way guests are received in the Arrivals area, we are helping our partners deliver a smarter and more personalised welcome, while easing footfall and improving operational flow within the terminal.”
This introduction follows the roll-out of a number of services at Dubai International, designed to ease congestion and help passengers proceed through the airport faster and more efficiently.
These include a new premium luggage delivery service, meaning passengers arriving into Dubai can skip the baggage carousel and have their bags delivered direct to their home or hotel within hours of landing.
