Air Transat connects three new partner airlines to Dohop network

Azores Airlines, Loganair, and SKY express added to virtual interlining platform

Air Transat has connected three new partner carriers to its virtual network facilitated by technology specialist Dohop.

Connectair by Air Transat has added Azores Airlines, Loganair, and SKY express, enabling passengers to book and travel to more than 240 additional destinations.

Sarah Hanan, commercial director at Dohop, said: “Air Transat’s continued focus on expanding its network through virtual interline is a testimony to its forward-thinking and innovative approach as an airline. We are delighted to be the facilitator of such developments.”

Joseph Adamo, chief sales and marketing officer at Transat, said: “Connectair by Air Transat, our virtual interlining service exclusive to our airline in Canada, is a great, easy-to-use tool that enables us to quickly add trusted new partners and help travellers choose their dream holiday from an ever-expanding selection.

“This initiative is in line with our desire to always stand out with an innovative approach focused on continuously improving the customer experience.”

The network was launched in November 2021, and is Dohop’s latest airline-owned virtual interline platform.

Through partnerships with easyJet, Vueling, Avianca, and Pascan, the platform already offers connected journeys throughout Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, and the Americas.

Passengers can book connecting flights across airline networks, including ancillaries, in a single booking process. Dohop services the connection in case of delays and disruptions, while airlines retain customer ownership.
