A new CEO has been brought in as e-commerce marketing technology company FusePump gears up for expansion.

Current CEO and founder Robert Durkin is to focus more time on product innovation and strengthening the position of the business as a “technical leader” in the e-commerce industry.

Mike Johns is to assume the role of CEO having worked in the software and technology sector for more than 15 years.

A non-executive director of Insider Technologies, Johns has spent most of his working life in senior management positions within a number of venture capital and private equity backed businesses.

Durkin said: “In just over four years, FusePump has established itself as a key technology partner for retailers who want to simplify their e-commerce marketing and maximise their online revenue.

“FusePump is still a young company that is continuing to grow and we have identified a number of areas within the e-commerce market where we can extend our technical leadership and benefit both new and existing clients.

“To take advantage of these growth opportunities and deliver more new and innovative solutions for online retailers, we need to make sure that we are continually investing in all areas of the business.

“Mike’s appointment as CEO not only brings new skills and experience to the management team, but also provides a fresh perspective to the company’s proposed development and expansion.”

Johns added:  “FusePump has an enviable reputation as a true innovator in the e-commerce market, with proven ability to simplify e-commerce marketing and improve online sales performance for its customers.”

He said the company had “huge potential” in the ever-changing world of e-commerce.
