ConX 2026: Travelgate questions differentiation in the age of AI
Travelgate has revealed the 2026 theme for ConX, its annual gathering for senior leaders in travel distribution and technology. The event takes place in Mallorca on 2–3 June 2026, with a day of programming on 2 June at Poble Espanyol, followed by AfterX on 3 June at Nikki Beach. The theme — OTHERNESS: When AI Makes Everyone Average — will steer the editorial direction and on‑stage conversations, putting differentiation at the heart of the agenda.
The focus reflects a wider industry debate. As artificial intelligence becomes embedded in booking platforms, pricing engines and distribution technologies, many players are turning to similar tools, optimisation models and performance metrics, which is driving a convergence in strategy and market behaviour. The question for executives, ConX argues, is where genuine differentiation still matters — and where optimisation alone no longer creates durable value.
“AI has made access to technology almost universal in travel,” said Luisa Camara, Chief Commercial Officer at Travelgate. “What it hasn’t solved is judgment. ConX 2026 is about creating space for honest conversations on where differentiation still matters — and where following the same models as everyone else quietly erodes value.”
Focus on structural shifts in the market
The programme prioritises strategic exchanges between leaders over operational updates. On 2 June, ConX will bring together stakeholders from distribution, hospitality, fintech and travel technology for panels and keynotes on demand quality, profitability and evolving business models. On 3 June, AfterX returns to Nikki Beach Mallorca, extending the gathering in a more informal setting designed to strengthen relationships across the global travel ecosystem.
Launched in 2019, ConX has become a recurring meeting point for senior leaders across distribution, hospitality, fintech and travel tech. Each edition spotlights the sector’s structural shifts — from connectivity and ecosystem growth to questions of profitability, demand quality and strategic differentiation. In 2025, ConX and AfterX brought together more than 1,000 professionals from over 460 companies across more than 50 countries. The event is organised by Travelgate, part of the Travelsoft group and a specialist in hotel connectivity.
The 2026 edition of ConX will take place on 2 and 3 June at Poble Espanyol, Mallorca.
