Hospitable Tasks, the short-term rental operations suite, has added two capabilities: voice-driven inventory tracking by on-site teams and, in the US, the option for managers to pay contractors by credit card.
Inventory management requires no setup. Teammates leave a voice note about the condition of the property and its supplies as they finish a job, and Hospitable turns that into a restocking list automatically, which the manager can review and adjust before acting on it. For managers using owner invoicing, the cost can be recorded against the property and carried into the owner’s statement.
Until now, keeping track of supplies could be scattered across different channels and documents. The centralisation of voice notes sits alongside existing coordination tools between managers and contractors, including automatic task assignment and time-stamped photo exchanges to confirm work has been completed. The aim is to help managers react faster, avoid guest dissatisfaction caused by missed restocks, and give a clearer view of supply spend.
Pierre-Camille Hamana, CEO and Founder of Hospitable, said: “A lot happens at a property between one guest checking out and the next checking in. Tasks might start with assigning a cleaner, but managers also need to know the work has been done properly, what condition the property is in, what needs replacing, and what it has cost.
“We’ve continued building Hospitable Tasks around more of that day-to-day work. Inventory is a natural next step, because supplies are closely connected to what teams are already seeing and doing inside the property, and the people best placed to track them are the ones in the room.”
The platform is also introducing credit card payments for these contractors in the US to ease managers’ cash flow. “Paying by card follows the same thinking. Cleaning is often the biggest cost attached to a property, and managers are regularly covering it before the booking money lands. Giving them the option to put that on credit is a small change that makes the month easier to manage.”
Hospitable Tasks now has close to 15,000 teammates and says it has tracked more than 28,000 tasks.
