Swiss firm Nezasa, publisher of the TripBuilder package travel design and management platform, unveils the AI agent Tai Guard.

Integrated into the Tai Workbench solution, it analyses itineraries before departure, detects risks related to flights, destinations and connections on the basis of historical data supplied by global aviation and travel data and intelligence provider OAG, and allows operators to adjust the itinerary.

Tai Guard combines OAG’s independent flight data with analysis of itinerary soundness: how flights have actually performed, the robustness of connections, and any destination alerts.

“When disruption occurs and travel plans change, the quality of the underlying data is critical to deciding swiftly what comes next,” said Gemma Timmons, director of operations and chief of staff at OAG.

“OAG’s independent flight data already provides a foundation that airlines, airports and travel technology companies rely on.”

Each operator sets the checks and severity levels to suit its business. The results can be passed to a human operator or to another agent in Tai Workbench, for example to find every booking affected by a flagged flight.

“We designed Tai Guard for the moment when things go wrong.”

The aim is to act before the traveller discovers the problem themselves. Nezasa highlights a reduction in last‑minute incidents, the avoidance of costly refunds and reroutings, the protection of margin and a decrease in manual work.

With trips becoming more complex and suppliers more numerous, the point is to monitor every booking systematically, not just files checked ad hoc, in order to shorten the time between detecting a risk and making a concrete adjustment to the itinerary.

“Everyone in travel is building AI for the moment of inspiration,” said Manuel Hilty, Nezasa’s chief executive. “We designed Tai Guard for the moment when things go wrong, because that is when package‑holiday operators lose margin and travellers lose patience. As flights are a key component of most itineraries, Tai Guard has been built to work with OAG’s data.”

Tai Guard is available within Tai Workbench by Nezasa, the company’s artificial intelligence agent platform. The agent is fully integrated with TripBuilder, but it can also be connected to other booking systems thanks to Tai Workbench’s connector framework.

It is aimed at tour operators, package‑travel operators and other retailers, who can use it on the itineraries they sell, regardless of the platform they sell them from.
