WTM 2014: Peakwork touts Google, Micros and Farelogix connectivity

German travel technology software developer Peakwork is showcasing a series of new integrations giving tour operators and hoteliers new routes to market.

The firm, which officially launched in the UK last year, is now offering connectivity to Google Hotel Finder, enabling customers to participate in the search engine’s metasearch service.

Leading global price comparison sites Kayak and Trivago are already connected via the Peakwork Hub.

Peakwork has also developed a partnership with Oracle Micros, which means it’s now able to provide customers with rates and availability directly from the hotel reservation desk.

The firm said this provides new distribution opportunities for the hotel industry and tour operators.

Finally Peakwork has established a direct connect for scheduled air booking with Ferelogix.

Peakwork said: “This development provides a direct connection between airlines and distribution, offering direct booking access and quicker response times for airlines and tour operators.”

Farelogix’s schema was chosen by Iata as the basis for its New Distribution Capability (NDC) standard which promises Amazon-style merchandising of air fares.

At last year’s WTM, as part of Travolution’s global media partnership with the Travel Tech Show, Peakwork chief executive Ralf Usbeck was awarded a Global Award for his contribution to travel through technological innovation.

Peakwork is exhibiting on stand TT329.
