Ebookers.com has updated its Explorer app for iPad a year after being launched.
The page-turning updated travel magazine now includes content from TripAdvisor and Foursquare, giving information on restaurants, attractions and activities. Explorer also has maps built into every destination search.
The revamped app covers more than 50,000 destination and activity combinations and is being sponsored for the first time by Brand USA (DiscoverAmerica.com).
The OTA’s product strategy and mobile director Rob Define said: “Following the successful launch of our Explorer app for iPad last year, we are excited to be releasing a significantly improved version of the app.
“Explorer meets a fundamental need for travel: inspiration. And with destination content created through social media channels, inspiration comes directly from family, friends and travel enthusiasts around the world.”
