STA Travel has announced a long-term extension to their content agreement with Amadeus, strengthening the existing IT relationship between both companies.
Under the agreement, more than 29 STA Travel markets will be able to use the Amadeus distribution system to access travel content from Amadeus’ global partner network.
Peter Liney, chief executive of STA Travel, said: “We are pleased to extend this successful partnership as we continue to access some of the best content in the market.
“Going forward we will look to collaborate further with Amadeus to be able to adapt to the ever changing needs of our customers.”
STA Travel already uses Amadeus’ technology solution, including the Amadeus e-Travel Management booking tool for online business customers.
Stephane Durand, director of online and leisure at Amadeus, said: “Over the last few years Amadeus has worked closely with travel agencies to identify missed opportunities that could make travel agencies more profitable.”
