Hotel site offers booking via Twitter

Online hotel start-up Inoqo has unveiled a Twitter-based hotel booking engine for travellers seeking last-minute accommodation.

Inoqo only features hotel rooms available in the next 48 hours or less, allowing hotels to shift distressed stock and travellers to find deals.

The service provides different streams on Twitter, such as @2LondonHotels, so travellers can follow their chosen destination.

Inoqo works on a commission model and is launching with hotels in England, the US, France, Portugal and South Africa.

The company plans to unveil an affiliate programme enabling bloggers and website owners to use the service via a widget.
