Stay22 bolsters leadership ahead of growth plans

Travel tech firm appoints CFO, CTO and CIO

Canadian affiliate commerce platform Stay22 has appointed chief technology (CTO) and chief financial officers (CFO) to its executive team as it targets a new period of growth.

Fabien Loupy, who has worked as VP technology at global e-commerce platform SSENSE, joins Stay22 as CTO. He led SSENSE’s growth, generating more than $1 billion in annual sales across more than 100 countries.

Louis-Charles Genest, who has a record of scaling finance and administrative operations while driving mergers and acquisitions, has been appointed CFO. He led corporate functions at District M multiplying its annual revenue by eight and its team size by 10 in six years. He also ran the ad-tech company merger with Sharethrough.

As well as the outside appointments Stay22 has promoted Hamad Al-Khabbaz to chief innovation officer, a newly created role to support the company’s further development. Al-Khabbaz helped co-found the firm in 2016.

The appointments mark ‘a new chapter’ for Stay22 as it approaches its tenth anniversary and surpasses $1 billion in annual transactions.

After record results in the first half of 2025, Stay22 hopes to expand beyond the travel sector and create more revenue opportunities for companies and members of its affiliate programme.

As the staff roster grows, Stay22 has moved to bigger offices in Montreal to accommodate more than 100 employees by the end of this year.

“This marks a turning point for Stay22,” saysco-founder and chief executive Andrew Lockhead. “As we scale beyond travel, Louis-Charles and Fabien bring the operational excellence and technical depth needed to sustain our next wave of growth. Their experience will help us double down on innovation while keeping the culture that got us here.”

“It is a pleasure to join such a great a team as Stay22,” added Genest. “As its new CFO, I will support the company’s growth and further professionalise the finance and administrative functions of the company.”

Loupy said: “I am impressed by Stay22’s resilience and the impact its products have created for content creators since it was founded nine years ago, as well as by the grit and the collaborative culture of its team.

“Among my goals as new CTO will be helping the company reach its targets more efficiently as we expand our affiliate program to additional verticals”.
