Dolphin Dynamics eyes Scandinavia expansion

Software developer Dolphin Dynamics plans to expand further in northern Europe after a successful roll out of its technology with Danish independent tour operator Profil Rejser.

The deal saw Dolphin’s selling and management front and back office system made available to the 45 staff at the operator in early December.

After good initial feedback Dolphin said it now hopes to expand further with the Scandinavia market firmly in its sights.

President Roberto Da Re said: “It’s very exciting for us to secure this agreement.

“The experience and market insight we’ve gained with Profil Rejser and other local customers has made us very confident that in this time of change and demand for enhanced automation, significant expansion opportunities exist for Dolphin Dynamics in the Scandinavian market.”

Copenhagen-based Profil Rejser is a long established and winner of the Danish Travel Award for the best worldwide tour operator on seven occasions.

The tie up with Dolphin means it has XML access to suppliers via a single platform though the technology firm’s reservations module.

Dolphin also developed bespoke software to add new feature required by Profil Rejser.

Profil Rejser managing director Peter Rasmussen said: “We invested significant time in finding the right technology – considering both local and international suppliers.

“We are very happy with the results so far. And I think it’s fantastic that it was possible to start a project in early September and go live only three months later.”
