Curb Flow launches in London to boost black cabs
Curb, a mobility solutions provider, has launched Curb Flow in London. The driver-first platform pulls ride requests from multiple sources, including the Curb app and partners such as Uber, into a single interface. The aim is to bring more metered trip opportunities to drivers, streamline access to demand without switching between systems, and lift earnings throughout the day. The service targets licensed London cab drivers and operates within Curb’s ecosystem.
In practical terms, Curb Flow aggregates requests in real time and lets each driver choose their demand sources, with the option to switch a channel on or off at any time. There are no penalties or acceptance quotas. The launch comes with a 0% commission model so drivers keep the full fare for trips completed through the platform. The tool integrates with licensed taximeters and complies with Transport for London (TfL) requirements. Access is offered exclusively within the Curb system.
“London cabbies face unique challenges, from congestion to rising operating costs, which can impact efficiency and earnings,” said Danny Sivanesan, Vice President of Curb UK. “By improving access to consistent demand, Curb Flow is helping renew interest in the profession, encouraging drivers to stay active throughout the day and supporting a stronger, more reliable vehicle supply."
With Uber and others
Since 2023 in North America, Curb says its nationwide booking volume has grown roughly fourfold in markets including New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles. According to the company, drivers accepting Curb Flow trips have seen earnings increases vary by city, up to 40%.
“We’ve seen in the U.S. that Curb Flow increases earning opportunities while keeping drivers in control of how they work,” said Dorel Tamam, Vice President of the Mobile Business Unit at Curb. “Bringing this system to London means drivers can work smarter and respond to demand more quickly, while still staying in control of how they operate."
At launch, the network integrates the Curb app and partners such as Uber, and remains open to additional demand providers. Licensed black cab drivers can sign up and access the service via Curb’s ecosystem. The company highlights compliance with London taxi standards, including integration with licensed taximeters, and the absence of any acceptance obligation.
