Etraveli Group has repositioned its Precision business as a dedicated travel fintech arm, expanding the proposition beyond fraud and risk management to cover a broader range of financial and commercial services for travel companies.

The Stockholm-based flight technology specialist said the move builds on more than two decades of experience developing fintech capabilities internally, with Precision now being positioned as a standalone B2B proposition for airlines, online travel agencies (OTAs) and other travel businesses.

The refreshed brand launches with two core products; Precision Fraud Prevention and Precision Travel Flexibility.

Etraveli said the aim is to help travel businesses improve profitability and conversion in an industry characterised by high transaction volumes, complex booking journeys and traditionally low margins.

The repositioning comes as travel companies increasingly look to technology to manage financial risks while also finding new opportunities to generate revenue from the booking process.

Precision Fraud Prevention uses machine learning models trained on millions of travel data points to identify fraudulent transactions while attempting to reduce the number of genuine customers incorrectly declined.

Etraveli said the travel-specific approach is designed to move fraud management away from being viewed purely as a cost centre and towards supporting profitable growth.

The second product, Precision Travel Flexibility, is designed to help travel companies offer customers flexibility options around their bookings.

The solution uses a decisioning layer to assess eligibility, pricing and coverage based on individual booking scenarios.

Etraveli said this can help businesses increase attachment rates and conversion while creating an additional commercial opportunity around flexibility.

The company is pitching both products as "for travel, by travel", drawing on capabilities originally developed to support Etraveli Group's own consumer brands.

Precision already works with external B2B customers and has integrations with players including Outpayce by Amadeus, Mastercard Gateway, Sabre and Checkout.com.

Peny Rizou, chief fintech officer at Etraveli Group and head of Precision, said the business had been developed in response to the commercial challenges faced by travel companies.

"Precision was born out of real commercial necessity in an industry defined by tight margins and high complexity," she said.

"Over two decades, we have honed these capabilities internally. By evolving Precision into a specialized fintech arm, we are giving airlines, OTAs, and travel partners access to travel-native intelligence that turns challenges - like fraud and cancellation risks - into scalable, profit-generating strategies."

The move represents a broader push by travel technology companies to package capabilities developed in-house into external B2B products, as airlines, OTAs and other travel sellers seek greater control over conversion, risk and ancillary revenue.

For Etraveli, Precision provides a way to take expertise developed across its own high-volume flight business and apply it more broadly across the travel ecosystem.
