Inspiretec has partnered with AI specialist SystemsX to launch a new AI-powered CRM tool designed to reduce administrative workloads for travel consultants and improve customer follow-up.

Agent Assist, unveiled at World Travel Market (WTM) London this week, is integrated into Inspiretec CRM and uses AI to summarise customer calls, draft follow-up emails and identify next actions.

The tool aims to help travel consultants spend less time on administration and more time advising customers, while capturing valuable information from conversations to build more detailed customer profiles.

A second tier, Agent Assist+, includes the same functionality but also draws on each travel business's own product, policy and company information to provide relevant knowledge and support more informed recommendations during customer interactions.

The launch comes as demand for travel professionals continues to grow. ABTA's Holiday Habits 2026/27 report found that 38% of overseas holidaymakers booked through a travel professional in the past year, up from 34%.

Meanwhile, the proportion using AI tools for holiday inspiration increased from 8% to 14%.

Inspiretec said the technology addresses the challenge of managing multiple customer conversations, preferences and enquiries across teams, helping consultants and colleagues “maintain a clearer picture of customer requirements and outstanding actions”.

Agent Assist can also prompt consultants to capture important requirements during calls, while post-call feedback and scoring provide managers with opportunities to identify coaching needs and maintain consistent sales and service standards.

Richard Baker, CEO of Inspiretec, said the launch formed part of the company's ambition to move travel CRM beyond a traditional system of record towards a system of action.

“Travel consultants build relationships by listening, understanding customers and providing expert advice.

“Every conversation contains valuable information, but too much time is spent on administration rather than doing what consultants do best: selling travel and looking after their customers,” he said.

“Our CRM already gives travel businesses a connected view of their customers. By bringing SystemsX's award-winning AI technology into Inspiretec CRM, we're building on that foundation, reducing administration, giving valuable time back to consultants and creating richer, more intelligent customer profiles with every interaction.”

Baker added that AI was central to Inspiretec's technology roadmap as it looks to expand across the UK, Europe and North America, supported by parent company Juniper Group.

Said to operate within a private environment, with customer conversations not used to train public AI models. Personal data redaction and retention controls are also included to support travel businesses with their UK GDPR obligations.

Simon Powell, chief executive of SystemsX, said: “Winning Technology Innovation of the Year showed that travel businesses want AI that is practical and saves time.

“By bringing Sense into Inspiretec CRM, a platform already trusted by some of the biggest names in travel, we're connecting what customers say with the work consultants need to do next, inside the system they already work in.”

The Cardiff-based technology provider joined Juniper Group in November 2025. Baker, who became chief executive in September 2026, has spent more than a decade with the business, most recently as chief commercial officer.
