Italian hotel technology provider Blastness has launched its own integrated payments platform as it looks to expand its technology offering across European markets.
BlastnessPay is designed to automate the hotel payment lifecycle from booking through to reconciliation, covering both direct and indirect distribution channels.
The platform has been developed with global payments technology company Adyen and is integrated with Blastness’ CRS and wider technology suite, linking payments with booking, distribution and revenue management processes.
Blastness, which works with more than 2,000 hotels in Italy, said the launch marks an expansion of its technology proposition beyond direct booking, distribution, revenue intelligence and digital marketing into payments.
The company said bringing payments into its wider platform will allow hotels to automate processes including deposits, pre-authorisations, refunds, instalments, OTA virtual credit cards and payment deadlines linked to booking conditions.
Automated collection and reconciliation is also intended to reduce manual administration and provide hotel teams with greater visibility of transactions, payment deadlines and costs.
Blastness estimates that automated payment management can save around seven minutes per transaction, based on analysis of hotels already using the technology.
For a seasonal 150-room property processing more than 6,400 deposit and final-payment transactions, the company estimates this could amount to more than 90 person-days of administrative time saved each year.
The platform supports payments originating from hotel websites, CRM systems and OTAs, as well as transactions made on property. It can also connect with property management systems including Oracle Hospitality OPERA.
Blastness said payments remain within the booking journey, avoiding redirects and potentially reducing checkout friction and booking abandonment.
Security is provided through tokenisation, with hotel staff unable to access guests’ card details. The company said this is intended to reduce exposure to sensitive payment data while helping hotels manage fraud and chargeback risks.
“Our aim is to transform one of the most complex areas of hotel operations into an integrated, high-performance technology solution capable of protecting revenue, improving financial control and reducing manual activities,” said Andrea Delfini, founder and CEO of Blastness.
It supports credit and debit cards, digital wallets, bank transfers and local and international payment methods.
The Blastness Suite also includes dashboards bringing together transaction, commission and reconciliation data, allowing hotel teams to identify anomalies and monitor payment costs.
Gabriele Bellezze, country manager at Adyen Italy, said payments had become an “essential component” of both the guest experience and hotel operational efficiency.
“Together with Blastness, we are providing hotels with a single infrastructure capable of connecting online and on-property payment flows, automating processes and providing greater control throughout the payment lifecycle,” he said.
BlastnessPay has already been operating for several months at major Italian hotels.
The launch comes as Blastness accelerates its international expansion, with the company positioning its broader technology ecosystem for hotel groups and independent properties beyond its established Italian market.
