Ten years after joining the connectivity specialist, Luisa Camara takes the reins at Travelgate.
She replaces former chief executive Pedro Camara, who is now heading Travelsoft Services and piloting a new project while remaining involved with Travelgate as an executive adviser to its board.
The late formal confirmation of the appointment comes alongside news of a shift in Travelgate’s technology offer.
Pedro Camara said: "Luisa knows Travelgate inside out and has been central to its growth."
"She has the understanding of the business and the judgment to take it further.
This next stage gives me the opportunity to build again, drawing on the experience of creating Travelgate and the backing of Travelsoft."
Travelgate’s API will integrate hotel content and room information.
Access to this data comes with the standardisation of hotel descriptions.
The change triggers a reorganisation of responsibilities between Travelgate and Travelsoft Services.
The company reiterates its aim of making distribution easier by bringing content, availability, price and booking into a single connection.
"We want the businesses that work with Travelgate to sell accommodation with more complete information that is easier to use," says Luisa Camara, the new chief executive of Travelgate.
"Our next step is to bring hotel and room content into the same connection our customers already use to check availability and prices, and to make bookings."
Travelgate says the result will be data that is more readily usable by AI tools.
Travelsoft Services, presented as B2B infrastructure for the distribution of travel products, had already, in May 2026, put forward the name of Pedro Camara to succeed Manuel Aragonés.
