Online travel agent loveholidays has lifted a lid on what's most popular with its travellers as it recognised the best hotels, airlines, bedbanks and destination partners at its second annual Partner Appreciation Awards in London this week.

Held at the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square on November 2, the awards celebrated the suppliers supporting the OTA's continued growth and delivery of package holidays to millions of customers.

The evening also saw the return of loveholidays' Most Loved Hotel Awards, which recognise the highest-rated properties based on more than 280,000 verified customer reviews from the UK, Ireland and Germany.

A total of 1,439 hotels across 45 destinations received the accolade for 2026, representing a 35% increase on last year's awards.

More than half (55%) of the winning properties retained their recognition for a second consecutive year.

Mainland Spain topped the destination rankings with 241 winning hotels, followed by the Canary Islands with 220 and the Greek Islands with 133.

Spain also recorded the largest year-on-year increase, with 61 additional hotels recognised, while the Greek Islands added 56.

The results highlighted the breadth of properties delivering high customer satisfaction, with a quarter of winners (25%) rated three stars or below.

The awards form part of loveholidays' wider focus on customer experience and transparency, with the company reporting an average Net Promoter Score of 64 for its 2026 financial year, covering November 2025 to October 2026.

Al Murray, chief supply and marketing officer at loveholidays, said: "It's fantastic to see our Most Loved Hotel Awards grow in their second year, with 370 more hotels recognised and over half of our winners retaining their accolade.

“This is a testament to the consistently high standards that our hotel partners deliver across every star rating and budget," he said.

Alongside the hotel awards, loveholidays presented 27 Supplier Awards recognising contributions from its land, flight, ancillary and tourist board partners.

Among the winners, Expedia received the Breakthrough New Partner award in the land category, while Hotelbeds was recognised for Outstanding Customer Resolution and OTS Globe took home the Portal Powerhouse Award.

Jumbo was named Bedbank Growth Partner for the UK and Ireland, with World2Meet receiving the equivalent award for new markets.

In the airline category, Wizz Air was named Breakthrough New Partner, while Emirates, Qatar Airways and Gulf Air jointly received the Partnership in Adversity award. SunExpress and Air Arabia were recognised for Partnership Excellence.

The awards come after another year of expansion for loveholidays, which is now licensed to carry more than 5.5 million UK passengers annually.

The company also marked its tenth anniversary in Ireland this year, having served more than three million customers in the market since launching.

International expansion has also seen the business enter Denmark, Norway and Sweden, taking its total presence to eight markets, hoping to be 10 before the end of the year, as it looks to extend its package holiday offering across Europe with rumours circulating of it branching into Ski holidays and an IPO coming soon.
