HBX Group has announced it's tightening its ties with Trip.com, as the global B2B travel technology marketplace aims to make it easier for international travellers to discover, plan and book trips to China.

The partners also plan to collaborate on virtual card solutions to simplify payments and transactions for travel businesses.

While the finer points of the enhanced partnership have yet to be set out, delivery is expected to combine Trip.com Group’s expertise in the Chinese market with HBX Group’s global network of partners.

“We are pleased to deepen our strategic partnership with HBX Group as we continue to make travel more accessible and convenient for travellers worldwide,” said Monica Xiao, chief executive officer of accommodation and vice president of Trip.com Group. “By combining our strengths in China inbound travel and exploring new opportunities in fintech, we aim to make it easier for international travellers to discover China and enjoy more rewarding travel experiences."

For HBX, the goal is to support the growth in international arrivals to China, with both companies noting that foreign inbound trips reached 22.91 million in the first half of 2026, up 20.4% year on year, and to strengthen an existing commercial relationship.

“Trip.com Group has been a valued partner to HBX Group for many years, and we're excited to open a new chapter in our relationship together,” said David Amsellem, chief distribution officer at HBX Group.

“China is one of travel's most exciting destinations. Together, we're opening it up to more travellers and exploring new areas, like payments, to improve the customer experience."
