Travel management company Clarity has reached an agreement with British Airways and Iberia enabling its customers to avoid paying the airlines’ distribution content surcharge on fares.

The Manchester-based TMC has worked with its GDS providers and the two International Airlines Group carriers to continue to provide fares without the surcharge from December 1.

Chief executive Pat McDonagh said: “We’re delighted to have reached agreement with British Airways and Iberia. This deal means we’ll be able to continue to offer our clients the
best value and content when booking with Clarity.

“Our agreement forms part of a wider commitment to work with British Airways to develop New Distribution Capability (NDC) connectivity which will enhance the booking and traveller experience.

“We combine our personal service with leading-edge technology to ensure our customers benefit from the advances that are being made in the industry, whilst ensuring
they continue to get great value for money.”

Portman Travel Group-owned Clarity is the UK’s eighth biggest TMC with a turnover of £420 million and more than 500 staff at its offices in the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands.
