Amadeus and Nvidia have signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on flight search.
The companies aim to improve search performance, boost cloud and infrastructure efficiency, and explore travel‑specific AI models.
Among the areas under review are technical benchmarks on Nvidia Hopper and Blackwell architectures, and the evaluation of travel‑specialised models, potentially developed with other partners.
Initial technical tests have already been carried out and have proved promising, according to Amadeus and NVIDIA. The two partners have already conducted evaluations on the Hopper and Blackwell architectures, which show potential for improving response times and scalability. The memorandum of understanding is now set to take this collaboration a step further.
The goal is to handle higher query volumes and complexity with real‑time responses, while avoiding results that are unavailable or cannot be booked.
“As AI transforms the travel ecosystem, maintaining fast, accurate and bookable flight search at global scale requires new approaches.
As the neutral execution layer that orchestrates connections between travel providers, sellers and digital assistants, we are excited to work with NVIDIA to explore how accelerated computing and AI technologies can help power the next generation of travel search,” said Lutz Vorneweg, senior vice-president for strategic partners at Amadeus.
Amadeus has previously worked with Microsoft on AI in aviation, from search to booking, and has partnered with Anthropic to open up its content and connections to developers and AI‑orchestrated environments.
