Travel Technology Europe 2020 announces keynotes from IBM, Google and Klook

IBM’s Thierry Gnych will talk about artificial intelligence in travel and whether 2020 will be the year it has a major impact

Speakers from tech giant IBM, Google and fast-growing tours and activities online retailer Klook will headline next year’s Travel Technology Europe conference in London.

The annual trade show will take place on February 26 and 27, 2020 at London Olympia.

IBM’s Thierry Gnych, European lead, cognitive and industry solutions, will talk about artificial intelligence in travel and whether 2020 will be the year it has a major impact.

His keynote session will focus on how to harness the power of cognitive, analytics, blockchain and the Internet of Things (IOT) in the transportation and travel industries.

Google’s mobile lead Chris Ansty will look at how crucial site speed is to coming up at the top of search, as well as sharing how major travel brands are creating an engaging mobile experience.

His session, entitled ‘Milliseconds make millions: how your site speed impacts your business’ marks the 25th year of the smartphone, and will explore how the devices have transformed the travel sector.

Matt Cuckston, European director at Klook, will explain how the Hong Konh firm has been turned into an industry unicorn by the $150 billion tours and activities sector.

He will focus on the importance of user experience when it comes to achieving success in-destination.
