Partnership move supports airline’s retail growth
Wizz Air adopts Accelya’s FLX ONE Order Accounting
One of Europe’s fastest-growing low-cost carriers, Wizz Air, is simplifying its accounting and supporting its retail growth by adopting Accelya’s FLX ONE Order Accounting system.
The move is being touted as providing Wizz Air with ‘greater precision and visibility across every transaction’.
As Wizz Air grows and will look to double its fleet and the number of its employees in the next decade, its commercial operations and transaction volumes are increasing rapidly.
FLX ONE Order Accounting provides real-time visibility and automation across the airline’s accounting processes. This allows Wizz Air to recognise revenue accurately, reduce manual work, and maintain full financial control as it scales.
“To further accelerate our growth, we need finance systems that move as fast as our business,” said Michael Berlouis, Wizz Air’s Financial Operations Officer.
“Accelya’s FLX ONE Order Accounting gives us the confidence and visibility to account for new products and revenue streams accurately, stay in control as we grow, and keep our focus on delivering value for our customers.”
Part of Accelya’s open, cloud-based FLX ONE platform, the solution integrates easily with existing systems, enabling finance and commercial teams to operate from the same data foundation.
It captures and reconciles every transaction automatically, providing finance teams with the transparency and accuracy needed to support Wizz Air’s agile, retail-driven model.
