Hotels4u.com has overhauled its management structure to support sales growth of 80%.
The trade accommodation-only firm has tripled its workforce to 54 and added commercial, finance, customer relations and operations departments.
Sales and marketing director John Harding admitted under its previous three-department structure – covering sales and marketing, administration and product – it was “all hands on deck”.
Hotels4u has received an influx of Lastminute.com staff with Jacky Bedlow joining as finance and operations director supported by Stuart Hawke and Judith Parson. Steve Fielding also joins from Lastminute.com as head of commercial.
Steven Moore moves from Somewhere2stay.com to head up the product team, while Karen Wheeler takes on the role of UK operations and administrations manager.
Harding estimated the company has up to a 20% share of the trade market – a figure he expects to grow.
