Smartvel acquires destination content distributor ArrivalGuides

Move will expand content and provide new opportunities to work with new and existing partners

Travel content technology company Smartvel has announced it has acquired ArrivalGuides, the world’s largest distributor of destination content.

ArrivalGuides was acquired from Lion Ventures and has over 630 global destination guides and more than 56,000 POIs in multiple languages.

Travel brands use ArrivalGuides to integrate travel content with existing platforms including apps, social media, websites and marketing initiatives. Content comes directly from travel experts and tourism bureaus around the world. 

The merger will see ArrivalGuides integrated into Smartvel’s suite of “AI enriched” technology, to gather, translate and geolocate “everything there is to experience in any destination around the world”.
