Online holidays subscription firm Rory's Travel Club launches in England

Following on from the success of its home market, Ireland

Rory’s Travel Club, a subscription service for exclusive offers on hotels, flights and attractions from just £10 a year, has expanded to England.

The travel club has already built a cult following in Ireland, attracting more than 285,000 members, which is equivalent to one in thirty-seven people in Ireland, so now, founder Rory King has set his eyes firmly on the English market with one mission: "to help people travel more by making great holidays accessible, affordable and less overwhelming to book".

With now over 360,000 members across England and Ireland, Rory's Travel Club is said to be particularly valuable for solo travellers looking to avoid the so-called "singles tax" - the additional costs often faced when booking accommodation, cruises or tours designed for two people.

Through its group-trip membership, solo travellers can access hundreds of deals on shared adventures and connect with like-minded travellers.

This business' founders' story is one of a true travel lover, 34-year-old King has visited more than 70 countries, and increasingly frustrated by third-party booking platforms adding significant commissions and fees, making travel more expensive than it needed to be, he said.

Determined to find a better way, he began building direct relationships with hotels, cruise operators, attractions and travel providers which led him to the club. Rather than taking commission from travel partners, Rory's Travel Club passes partner discounts directly on to members, ensuring travellers receive the full benefit of the savings available.

What began as a one-man passion project, has grown into a 22-person business dedicated to helping people travel more for less.

Rory King, founder of Rory's Travel Club, said: "I've always believed that everyone deserves the chance to travel and create great memories, regardless of their budget. Too often people rule out a trip before they've even started looking because they assume it will be too expensive.

"Our goal is to remove that barrier by finding genuine value and inspiring people to travel more often. We've seen that work in Ireland and we're excited to bring that same community and opportunity to travellers across England."
