The OTA formerly known as Fly Fairly has had quite the first two years
Laters.com raises £1.1M seed round led by XBO Ventures
Laters.com, the payments-first online travel agency formerly known as Fly Fairly, has announced it has raised over a million dollars.
US$1.5 million
The seed round, led by XBO Ventures - the investment arm of digital-asset platform, XBO.com, saw it complete its rebrand from flyfairly.com to laters.com and raise $1.15 million USD (£1.1 million).
The start-up, which was founded in 2024, sells flights of more than 650 airlines and lets travellers pay in full with a digital wallet or cryptocurrency, or over time with one of around 40 buy now pay later and installment plans.
It offers more ways to pay for a flight than any other platform in the world, with majority of its payment volume being non-card.
The company has been profitable since 2025 and will use the funds to grow of the brand with an expansion of its "core business", as well as new products and verticals.
“We back companies that turn digital assets into something people actually spend," said Dor Maman, co-founder and CFO of XBO.
"Laters.com has done that at one of the sharpest points of friction there is: paying for a flight.
"The majority of its volume already moves outside the card networks, and that is where we think this market is going."
Alex Yardley, founder and CEO of Laters.com, added: “Millennial and Gen Z travellers have spent a decade adapting to a booking experience built for their parents.
“We built Laters.com around how this generation actually pays, and it turns out what we built works well beyond flights.
So we are doubling down on what works, and building for the needs this generation has been quietly working around for years. Some of that is travel. Some of it is not.
“Nobody should lose the fare they found because payday is two weeks away. Family, work, a wedding: some trips cannot wait. Laters.com fixes the price today and spreads the cost, so the people who plan ahead are not the ones who pay the most.”
Yardley, who spent twenty years before Laters.com in various roles including eBay’s EMEA leadership team, senior director at Booking Holdings leading partnerships for Agoda and Booking.com across Asia Pacific, and most recently managing director at ShopBack, has added an ususual feature for travellers called the Laters.com Payment Score to set the OTA apart.
This tool rates the pay-later providers at the Laters.com checkout out of 10 on repayment flexibility, interest rate, eligibility and approval process.
No provider pays to be scored, ranked or placed. Laters.com earns the same margin whichever way a traveller pays so this functionality is designed with the traveller in mind.
