Agoda expands property management role with new Partner Portal

It means greater control for its partners

Agoda has unveiled a new Partner Portal bringing property management, performance insights and revenue tools together as the OTA looks to give accommodation partners greater control over their businesses.

The refreshed platform, formerly known as the Yield Control System (YCS), combines operational workflows with commercial and data tools, including AI-assisted features designed to help properties respond to changing demand.

Agoda said the move reflects the increasingly diverse nature of Asia’s traveller base, with accommodation businesses needing more insight into individual source markets and guest expectations.

The OTA cited its Tailored to Win report, which found that almost eight in 10 hotels at advanced stages of localisation rely on digital travel platforms and OTAs for information on cultural norms and guest expectations.

Meanwhile, 73% of surveyed hoteliers said they use OTA partners for guest data insights.

As such, it has updated workflows covering property and room settings, content management, promotions and finance, accordingly.

The reservation interface has also been redesigned to provide clearer booking information and greater visibility of guest contact details, while promotion and rate-plan management have been given more flexibility around combining discounts.

The platform also introduces multi-property views across calendar and availability tools and the portal is also said to bring more data and AI capabilities into the property management experience.

“Every accommodation partner, from a 500-room chain to a single guesthouse, is trying to do the same thing: reach the right traveller at the right moment and stay ahead of the demand,” said Andrew Smith, senior vice president, supply at Agoda.

“That’s what we’ve built Agoda Partner Portal to do.”

Agoda said satisfaction with its mobile app among partners has nearly doubled since 2024, with reservation and promotion management identified as two of the areas where users have seen the biggest improvements.

Agoda is using AI to analyse guest reviews and produce summaries highlighting what customers value and where properties could improve.

Selected review highlights can also be surfaced on property pages to give prospective guests a clearer picture of individual properties.

The company is also connecting property performance data to its wider commercial programmes.

Partners can access Agoda Dynamic Rates (ADR+), which provides data-led guidance as market conditions change, alongside promotional programmes such as the Agoda Mega Sale.

Agoda said this is intended to connect day-to-day property management with the tools properties use to drive visibility and bookings.

The new portal also allows properties to compare selected performance indicators with a curated group of nearby properties.

The aim is to highlight periods where performance may require closer attention and help properties identify potential opportunities.

Eligible properties can also use Agoda Intelligence to assess market signals and receive data-led suggestions covering the following 90 days.

Agoda said recommendations are presented transparently so partners can review and verify the underlying information before deciding whether to act.

The company stressed that the technology is intended to support rather than replace property-level decision making.

Agoda is also adapting the portal to reflect how properties operate in different markets.

Mobile workflows allow partners to manage bookings, availability, promotions and guest communications while away from their desks.

In South Korea, for example, Agoda has introduced KakaoTalk booking notifications for motels, with the company planning to explore support for other local messaging platforms, including WhatsApp and WeChat.
