Ryanair approves Fliggy as OTA partner in China

Bookings have increased 20% month-on-month already

Chinese online travel platform Fliggy has announced its direct connectivity partnership with Ryanair to sell the low-cost carriers' flights via its API connection.

Fliggy - a subsidiary of Alibaba Group - is the latest move by the airline in its connectivity distribution strategy for the Asian market as it has already announced the likes Atlas and DerbySoft as aggregators of its flight content.

This partnership is facilitated by the Atlas deal, which is a Ryanair Approved OTA Aggregator partner.

The deal is already in action with travellers in China able to access flights and according to Fliggy data, since the launch of the direct connectivity partnership, bookings for Ryanair flights on the platform have increased by more than 20% month-on-month.

Demand for travel from China to Europe has also strengthened over the past two years, according to Fliggy data. More than ten European destinations ranked among the top thirty outbound destinations for Chinese travellers during the first half of 2026, making it a timely move by the major European airline.

Dara Brady, CMO for Ryanair, said: “We are pleased to announce our partnership agreement with Fliggy – adding to our growing list of partners. Through this new agreement, Fliggy customers will be able to book Ryanair’s low-fare flights with the guarantee of full price transparency and direct access to their booking. We look forward to working with Fliggy and carrying their customers onboard our market-leading network of Ryanair flights.”

Li Chen, vice president and general manager of Transportation at Fliggy, said: “We are delighted to become Ryanair’s approved OTA partner in China. As demand for European travel continues to grow among Chinese travellers, this partnership gives Fliggy customers access to a broader selection of European flights with better value and a superior end-to-end booking experience. We are excited to work with Ryanair and Atlas to make European travel more accessible for Chinese travellers.”
