Delta Air Lines rolls out AI Concierge to all SkyMiles Members
Delta Air Lines has made Delta Concierge, the AI-powered assistant built into the Fly Delta app, available to 100% of SkyMiles Members, less than a year after the tool first launched in beta in October 2025.
The assistant can answer trip-specific questions and surface reservation and flight-status details, and it now supports customer-initiated cancellations with real-time refund requests or eCredits, alongside rebooking help during disruptions and bag tracking. All of these services are offered in natural language.
According to Delta, the service draws on internal data and improved natural-language understanding to speed up support and cut the number of steps needed to find information or complete a task, while keeping Delta people focused on the knottier cases.
“Delta Concierge reflects our commitment to building digital tools that make travel easier and help customers get the assistance they need,” said Eric Phillips, chief digital officer at Delta Air Lines.
“Over the past several months, we’ve listened closely to how customers use Concierge and rapidly added the features they’ve asked for most. Making it available to every SkyMiles Member is a big step forward in our goal to put more control in customers’ hands, while ensuring Delta people continue to deliver the care and expertise that set us apart.”
Customers can access the service via the Concierge icon in the upper right of the app’s home screen once they have updated to the latest version.
At this stage, cancellations handled by Concierge apply to the full itinerary only, with the assistant submitting a refund request or issuing an eCredit in real time where eligible. The tool remains in beta as Delta plans further developments in the months ahead.
