Mews selected by Accor to standardise F&B technology across global portfolio

Mews POS already live in more than 850 properties

Mews has been selected by Accor as the first partner in a new food and beverage (F&B) technology programme aimed at standardising operations across its global hotel portfolio.

The hospitality technology provider said its Mews POS system is already live at more than 850 Accor properties in more than 20 countries, with the deployment now expanding across the group's Premium, Midscale and Economy brands.

The move forms part of Accor's wider strategy to modernise its F&B operations across its Luxury, Lifestyle, Premium, Midscale and Economy portfolios, with a focus on improving operational efficiency and increasing revenue.

Accor said the new programme will establish a "curated panel of preferred technology providers" to help hotels streamline F&B operations, optimise costs, improve inventory management and gain greater visibility through real-time reporting.

Mews POS provides a cloud-native, mobile-first platform covering ordering, menu management, inventory and reporting, with the company citing an average support response time of under one hour.

Jean Noel Lau Keng Lun, chief distribution officer at Accor, said: "Following the rationalisation of our CRS, PMS, RMS, MICE and payment systems, we are now set to streamline our F&B technology stack.

"As part of this strategy, we are establishing a new F&B Technology Program with a curated panel of preferred solutions available to our properties to help them maximise total revenue and integrate dining experiences deeper into our Loyalty ecosystem.

"I am pleased to welcome Mews as the first Partner joining this program."

The partnership will also support Accor's ambition to connect dining experiences more closely with its loyalty ecosystem, while allowing individual properties to tailor F&B offerings to local markets and guest preferences.

Richard Valtr, founder of Mews, said the platform's open API and integration capabilities would enable Accor hotels to connect F&B operations with the wider guest journey.

"Mews POS is built for that reality: easy to learn, quick to deploy and run without dedicated IT support, and adaptable enough to fit both an extensive Brand Dining Concept and the local operational situation," he said.

Valtr added that the platform's open ecosystem approach differentiated it from standalone POS solutions by enabling hotels to integrate F&B operations with other technology and services.
