30 Sundays raises £5.2M to personalise honeymoons with AI

Bessemer led the round

Gurugram-based start-up 30 Sundays, launched in June 2024 by Kshitij Chaudhary, Sumit Mishra and Anuj Punjani, has carved out a tightly defined niche in leisure travel: bespoke romantic breaks and made-to-measure honeymoons.

It has managed to raise more than £5 million to give couples memories that last.

The company relies on generative artificial intelligence to automate itinerary planning, qualify sales leads and streamline bookings.

According to the company, the approach has doubled the productivity of its sales teams.

The latest round, led by US fund Bessemer Venture Partners, follows an initial raise of $770,000. Existing backers Info Edge Ventures and Eximius took part in the new deal.

The proceeds will be used to strengthen the product offer, develop the technology, hire new staff and invest in marketing and brand awareness.

In little more than two years, 30 Sundays says it has reached an annualised gross booking volume of about $24 million across core destinations Bali, Vietnam, the Maldives and Thailand.

The start-up has also recently launched operations in New Zealand and Mauritius, and plans to expand soon into Georgia, Azerbaijan and the Philippines.
