ATPCO appoints LATAM Airlines Group’s Rosario Phillips chair of the board

LATAM executive to chair ATPCO board

ATPCO, the airline industry’s leading source for airline merchandising and pricing data, has appointed Rosario Phillips, Vice President, Passenger Solutions at LATAM Airlines Group, as chair of its board of directors. The appointment was announced on 16 June 2026. Phillips, who brings more than 20 years of airline experience, steps into the role at a pivotal moment for distribution and pricing across the industry.

Phillips has served on ATPCO’s board for six years. She succeeds Karen Slinger, who has been promoted to a new role in operations at British Airways, providing continuity of governance at the company.

At LATAM, Phillips leads the airline’s digital agenda across the full passenger journey. Her remit spans modern retailing, digital commerce, customer experience, loyalty and operational efficiency. With a profile that sits at the intersection of commercial and technology, her track record aligns with airline priorities to accelerate transformation, improve data reliability and enhance performance. As chair, she will be expected to support and challenge strategic execution in close partnership with ATPCO’s leadership.

“The airline industry is undergoing one of the most exciting transformations in its history, and ATPCO is at the center of it,” said Rosario Phillips. “Having served on the Board for the past six years, I have seen firsthand the innovation and dedication this team brings. I am honored to take on the role of Chair and look forward to working alongside Brett and the entire ATPCO leadership team as we advance the future of airline retailing and distribution for airlines and travelers worldwide.”

Earlier this year, ATPCO appointed Brett Burgess as President and CEO with a clear mandate to position the organisation for the AI-powered future of airline retailing, keeping the company at the intersection of data, technology and industry trust. The move underscores a tighter alignment between vision, product and execution cadence as airlines test new offer and pricing models.

“Rosario’s deep expertise in digital transformation, modern retailing, and customer experience makes her an exceptional leader for our Board. Her strategic vision and understanding of both the commercial and technology dimensions of our industry are exactly what ATPCO needs as we support the industry’s shift to dynamic offers. I look forward to a strong partnership as we continue to shape the future together,” said Brett Burgess, President and CEO of ATPCO.

ATPCO has also strengthened its board with two appointments bringing revenue management expertise: Alison Short, Vice President of Revenue Planning, Optimization, and Analytics at Air Canada, and Peter‑Paul Vet, Vice President of Pricing & Revenue Management KLM Europe at KLM. Their analytical and operational backgrounds are intended to support airlines in content orchestration, revenue optimisation and the scaling of data-driven offers.
