12Go launches a ChatGPT app for transport in Asia

AI-led search for Asian routes

12Go has launched a ChatGPT app that makes its inventory of buses, ferries, trains and multimodal routes across Asia searchable in natural language. From within the assistant’s interface, users can explore an extensive supply operated by thousands of local providers that has, until now, been hard to surface. Once an itinerary is found, booking is completed after redirection to 12Go’s website or app, with no transaction taking place inside ChatGPT. The company presents the launch as a way to open up a still highly fragmented market to AI-driven discovery.

The 12Go app can be prompted in ChatGPT with open requests — for example to find an overnight bus between Bangkok and Chiang Mai the following weekend, or to compare inter-island crossings. The tool returns a real-time selection of options and offers, and helps users compare schedules as well as prices. Search stays centralised in ChatGPT, while checkout is handled within 12Go’s own ecosystem.

“AI has become the new front door for travel inspiration, but inspiration only matters if it leads to a real, bookable journey” , said Noam Toister, Co-founder and CEO of Travelier. “Now, with the 12Go App in ChatGPT, a traveler in New York or London asking how to island-hop through southern Thailand or cross from Vietnam into Laos gets an answer in seconds — powered by direct relationships with thousands of local operators. It's a step towards making Asia's hardest-to-reach transport options part of the global conversation about travel. ”

With this integration, Travelier is targeting a market in which Asian ground and sea transport is largely run by a long tail of still-offline operators. By aggregating this supply, 12Go — which reports more than 8.7 million tickets sold in 2025 and coverage of 730,000-plus routes and 20,000 operators in over 140 markets — aims to streamline multimodal trip planning and remove friction in discovery, comparison and conversion.
