Travelport and GET-E agree strategic ground transportation distribution agreement

Deal will see the 68,000 agencies connected to Travelport’s Smartpoint agent desktop

Global ground transportation provider GET-E has struck a strategic partnership agreement with Travelport.

The deal will see the 68,000 agencies connected to Travelport’s Smartpoint agent desktop to search, book and connect GET-E’s range of taxi, minivan and executive transport options.

The partners said “seamless integration” between GET-E and Travelport will offer users an improved workflow within a single user interface.

GET-E bookings while directly connect with flight reservations with airport transfers to make travel to and from major transit hubs seamless.

Alexander van Deudekom, GET-E chief executive, said: “Travelport is a very important new strategic partner for GET-E.

“By opening up the GET-E booking platform to Travelport’s global network, we will provide connected agencies with an easy and cost-effective way to book connecting road transport to their pre-booked flights.

The partnership is being launched in conjunction with Travel and Transport Statesman, a UK travel management company specialising in corporate travel management, leisure travel and group and meeting travel services.
