OTA On The Beach has appointed four new senior directors following the departure of marketing director Alan Harding.

The Manchester-based firm confirmed the departure of Harding after six years with the company saying he left to take a break and seek new challenges later in the year.

He has been replaced in the marketing department by Steve Seddon, director of brands, and Dan Roche, director of performance marketing, who have both been given promotions.

Seddon initially joined from Shearings as a consultant and has 20 years experience in travel marketing with the likes of Tui, Virgin, Stagecoach and Monarch.

Prior to joining Shearings as marketing director, he worked for Kuoni in a similar role. He joined On The Beach last April and worked on its much acclaimed recent brand campaign,

Roche has been at On the Beach for 18 months as head of performance marketing, overseeing online advertising activity.

Prior to that he was head of digital acquisition at We Buy Any Car for four years.

On The Beach has also promoted Danielle Chruszcz to director of people. She will lead the group people strategy, combining the HR, recruitment and facilities teams across the business.

Prior to joining On the Beach in March 2019, Chruszcz held HR roles at a number of companies including the BBC and Direct Line Group.

The fourth newly appointed director, Jo Ward, joined the company last month as director of product.

She has spent the past ten years working across various companies including Money Supermarket, Think Money, Virgin Money and 10x Future Technologies.

As director of product, Ward will lead the product, user experience and design teams to shape and deliver the company’s product vision and strategy.

On The Beach said Harding was instrumental in overseeing significant improvements in On the Beach’s digital and brand marketing activity, as well as being part of the team who guided the business through its successful stock market launch in 2015.

The firm added: “He leaves with the very best wishes from the senior management team.”

Simon Cooper, founder and chief executive at On the Beach said the new management team has been appointed at a “pivotal moment” for the company.

“We are delighted to recognise our teams’ strengths and welcome fresh talent across four hugely important roles within the business,” he said.

“Bringing together this unique mix of experience is a pivotal moment for us, as we continue to shape the brand and answer the needs of our customers.

“I have total confidence in this new management team to lead our innovation agenda and continue to propel us forward.”
