Holiday Extras acquires Kent firm Future Generation Services

It has bought 100% of the company

Tech-driven ancillaries provider Holiday Extras has revealed that it is turbocharging its technology portfolio with the acquisition of self-service technology business, Future Generation Services (FGS).

The investment in this Kent-based firm is the group's third into technology businesses this year, reinforcing its dedication to ‘making travel easy’ for partners and customers worldwide.

Holiday Extras ParkIT software is behind its Meet & Greet, Drop & Go, and Valet services.

FGS has been complementing ParkIT for over a decade. It developed ticket kiosks and key lockers to ensure every trip is "seamless" for travellers.

This move will see Holiday Extras try and further fuse FGS’s hardware with ParkITs software to deliver new products while increasing airport parking capacity across the globe.

The total acquisition of FGS enables the Holiday Extras group to further invest in the team and its capabilities, for "substantial" FGS customer benefits, existing and new.

The Group will keep the existing FGS offices in Rochester and continue to collaborate with the FGS team. Delroy Marks will remain as part of the team.

Delroy Marks, who cultivated FGS into a centre of excellence and innovation, said: “Working with ParkIT and the Holiday Extras Group for over ten years has been a fulfilling experience, grounded in shared values that have championed collaboration and helped us to grow our businesses together.

"I’m looking forward to working with the group over the coming years to further grow our markets and solutions," he said.

Oli Ashford, managing director of ParkIT, said: “We’ve worked closely with the FGS team in Rochester to deliver solutions for airports across the globe and their technology has become an important part of our business and long-term strategy.

"I’m excited to have them onboard and together, we can continue to simplify travel, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver exceptional service standards for millions of travellers each year."
