Avianca NDC products made available via Travelport

More options for agents booking Latin American airline

Travel agents will be able to book Avianca’s NDC products through Travelport after a new deal between the airline and tech firm.

Agents using the Travelport+ platform will be able to search for, compare and book the Latin American carrier’s NDC content along its non-NDC content in a single window.

NDC bookings for the Colombia-headquartered airline can be modified, exchanged or cancelled through the Travelport API, Smartpoint Cloud and Smartpoint desktop solutions.

Travelport’s NDC solution for the Star Alliance member is now available to UK, European and Colombian agents, with more markets to be added in the coming weeks.

Avianca’s sales vice president Catalina Nannig said: “Travelport has helped us achieve a significant milestone in our distribution strategy and ensures our agency retail partners can easily access our NDC offers and provide the best options to travellers.
