Secret Escapes appoints CEO for ecommerce platform Slevomat

Tomáš Braverman to join subsidiary from price comparison group Heureka

Online luxury travel deals specialist Secret Escapes Group has appointed Tomáš Braverman as chief executive officer of its subsidiary Slevomat Group.

He will succeed current chief executive Ladislav Veselý, who stepped down from the role at the leisure ecommerce platform this month, from July 15 this year.

Slevomat primarily offers travel and local experiences in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and has millions of customers. In 2023 its travel-related sales grew by 23% and the company enjoyed an EBITDA margin in excess of 20%.

Braverman is to join from Heureka Group, Europe’s largest group of price comparison websites and online shopping advisors, where he was group chief executive for seven years.

During Braverman’s time at Heureka, it grew to 26 million unique cookie users and from 40 to 550 employees while increasing revenues tenfold.

Braverman also oversaw four acquisitions and integrations. In 2023, he became a non-executive member of Heureka Group’s advisory board.

Prior to joining Heureka Group in 2017, he was the chief executive of Heureka Shopping – the largest price comparison site in the Czech Republic and Slovakia at the time.
