Rapper Tinchy Stryder has joined up with Premier Inn’s new generation Hub brand to create a music track from one of its hotel rooms.

During a one day period, Tinchy’s challenge will be to create a track using only “interesting and vibrant inspirations” from around the hotel and the Brick Lane area, all produced from his hotel room.

The in-room studio will use Hub’s free Wi-Fi and in-room digital connectivity. The track will be released mid-June.

Tinchy said: “I studied digital arts at the University of East London and love everything techy, so I really felt at home here surrounded by all the connectivity.

“I started off experimenting with music in my bedroom in east London, so it will be like going back in time, and I’ll hopefully create something exciting and innovative from my room here at hub. Watch this space.”

Hub is described as a new generation, affordable urban hotel brand.

Technology features heavily, with an app that controls the lighting, temperature and the Smart TVs.

Simon Ewins, Hub’s chief operating officer, said: “We know that hub’s digital elements impress our guests and enhance their customer journey – we also know we are offering a cool base in city centre locations, perfect for those who like to explore while staying connected.

“Our customers tell us that this new hotel concept and the vibrant locations we have chosen to place it in, are perfect for inspiring creativity and imagination – so what better way to harness this inspiration than by collaborating with a creative and innovative musician like Tinchy.

“We are really excited to hear the final track.
