Air France tests VR headsets as in-flight entertainment

Air France has been testing the use of virtual reality headsets as in-flight entertainment.

Passengers can watch 3D and 2D films or TV shows on what the airline is calling “their own private movie theatre”.

It has rolled-out the immersive entertainment system in partnership with the startup SkyLights.

Tests began on August 1 in business class on board flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and St. Martin. Four headsets with a selection of forty films and series are offered on board.
