TravelTech Show Trailblazer Fund competition set to return for second year

Start-ups invited to enter by June 6 to win a free stand at next year's show

The TravelTech Show Trailblazer Fund competition will return for a second year next month at the annual trade show in London.

The event is set to return as a face-to-face show for the first time in two years following the COVID pandemic at a new venue, the Excel exhibition centre in east London on June 29 to 30.

The Trailblazer Fund is looking for start-ups to enter and the show is offering a £25,000 bursery to cover the cost of up to 80% of their presence at the show in 2022.

The winner will receive a free stand in 2023 and a start-up ticket to attend the Phocuswright Conference in the US in Phoenix, Arizona, in November.

Qualifying companies must have been founded in the last four years, have not already raised more than £2 million in funding and be interested in working with TravelTech Show’s audience of B2B product developers, OTAs, tour operators, TMCs, DMCs, and other suppliers.

Applicants have until June 6 to enter and a top five, chosen by the show’s advisory board will be revealed on June 13 and invited to speak in a start-up panel at the TravelTech Show.

Ryan Taylor, event manager, Northstar Travel Group, said: “Being back in-person after two years, and at a new venue, is really exciting.

“The travel industry has been amongst the hardest hit by the pandemic but the lifting of all travel restrictions in the UK is welcome news and shows we are finally emerging from COVID.”

“TravelTech Show is the home for innovation for the travel and tourism sector and we can’t wait to reunite the industry this June.”

TravelTech Show runs from June 29-30 at ExCeL London, alongside Business Travel Show Europe and The Meetings Show
