Hotel management specialist RoomRaccoon has integrated with Cendyn’s Pegasus Central Reservation System (CRS) to bring global distribution systems to hotels.

The two-way integration will allow hotels to use distribution channels to share rates, availability and inventory to a global audience of over 600,000 travel buyers in 120 markets, in addition to OTAs.

The agreement could see independent hotels increase GDS bookings with an average daily rate (ADR) up to 30 to 35% higher than usual, according to RoomRaccoon.

Electronic distribution specialist World Hospitality Solutions is powering the integration and providing communication between the firms so customers can distribute information from the RoomRaccoon channel manager to Pegasus CRS in real-time while avoiding GDS extranet difficulties.

RoomRaccoon claimed that “integrating a Hotel Management System with a GDS is the best way to secure lucrative corporate and consortia business with industry-leading hotel representation and global sales programs.”

Sarah Tissot, vice president of distribution and partnerships at Cendyn, said: “Cendyn is excited to partner with RoomRaccoon as both companies share a passion for creating innovative, technology-enabled solutions that help hotels leverage their data and optimise revenue.

“This enhanced integration streamlines the data flow between Pegasus CRS and the RoomRaccoon PMS, which will allow hotels to make more informed pricing, demand and distribution decisions by removing the barrier between guest profile information, rates and inventory.”

Steven Reffin, head of partnerships at RoomRaccoon, said: “We are excited to welcome Cendyn’s Pegasus CRS to our marketplace.

“With the resurgence of in-person events and businesses requiring employees to travel for trade shows, conferences, and networking events, there has never been a better time for independent hotels to tap into this market and maximise revenue.”
