South African airline company Comair has renewed a global full content deal with technology firm Travelport.
Comair operates a domestic scheduled service as part of a licensing agreement with British Airways and a low-cost carrier called kulula.com.
The multi-year agreement means travel agents connected to Travelport’s Galileo and Worldspan global distribution systems (GDSs) will have access to fares and schedules of both carriers.
Brian Kitchin, the airline’s executive manager for sales and distribution, said: “Comair is excited to renew its global full content agreement with Travelport and looks forward to continuing our mutually successful relationship into the future.”
Will Owen Hughes, Travelport senior director of supplier services in the Middle East and Africa, said: “Travelport’s agreement with Comair provides a level of global agency access unmatched by any other GDS.
“Working with low-cost carriers is a key part of our business strategy and this enhanced agreement further cements Travelport’s presence in South Africa, and underlines our continued growth across the Africa continent.”
