Ryanair is outsourcing responsibility for selling the entire online display advertising inventory on its website Ryanair.com.
A deal has been struck with Irish firm Independent Digital, which owns and manages 18 online publishing websites, such as news site Independent.ie together with classified and dating sites.
The budget carrier’s website claims to attract 1.2 million unique users a day.
Commercial revenue director Garry Walsh said: “This offers an enormous marketing opportunity for prospective advertisers and we are pleased to announce this partnership with Independent Digital and look forward to forging a successful relationship together as Ryanair continues to grow across Europe.”
Independent Digital online sales director Eileen Ruddy said: “We have some very interesting plans in place, some of which will incorporate the Ryanair.com inventory within the Independent Digital Network.”
