Singapore-based travel technology supplier BeMyGuest has opened an office in Hangzhou, China, to help support growth and future expansion plans.

BeMyGuest China will provide capacity for increased customer support, engineering and key leadership functions for the Chinese market.

The unit will be headed by general manager China, He Xiaoxing, who has been tasked to head the expansion of its China business.

A travel industry veteran with a decade of experience, he was previously director at Ctrip’s integrated business of things to do and activities, heading its partnership department.

BeMyGuest China will continue its focus on its B2B business in China. Its API is already integrated with major Chinese OTAs such as Ctrip.

Additionally, through its agents marketplace, BeMyGuest is able to provide access to industry rates and products specifically for the Chinese travellers.

BeMyGuest has also released multiple tools to help API partners integrate more quickly.

Chief executive Clement Wong said: “BeMyGuest China will allow us to increase our capabilities in key areas that align with our current and future growth plans.

“This will allow us to expand our core teams to support the growth we are experiencing while giving us dedicated facilities to host partner briefings and attract talent to join the team. Under the leadership of Xiaoxing, we are very confident of scaling our Chinese business.

“Our team is excited about the rapid growth we are experiencing in China and this move represents a commitment to continue to build on the success our team has accomplished in the world’s largest outbound travel market.”
