Air New Zealand has become the second big win in the aviation sector for Irish predictive marketing specialist Boxever.

Earlier this month Boxever announced a partnership with budget airline Ryanair to use its personalised marketing platform.

Boxever will work with Air New Zealand to generate customised marketing messages across web, email, mobile, and via its call centre based on customer data.

Air New Zealand’s general manager customer value and loyalty, Hamish Rumbold, said: “At Air New Zealand, we want to deliver more value to our customers, provide them a more tailored experience, and improve the return on our marketing spend through the use of machine learning algorithms.

“Our partnership with Boxever is critical in delivering this vision as their expertise in the travel industry and their travel focus gives them a deep understanding of the complexities of travel retailing. This logic has been built into the Boxever solution, which we believe will shorten the delivery cycle and enable us to see results more quickly.”

David O’Flanagan, chief executive and co-founder of Boxever, added: “We’re delighted to be selected by one of the industry’s most innovative and leading airlines to help them improve customers’ experiences.

“Air New Zealand demonstrates the vision and passion for customer experience that many airlines talk about but have a difficult time actually achieving. We look forward to helping them push the envelope further and delivering personalized recommendations at every customer touchpoint.”
